Román Sánchez is an eclectic trombonist and artist from Spain. With a classical music background, he finished his Bachelor’s studies in Barcelona in 2016. After 4 years of working both as a classical and pop trombonist in Spain and the U.S., he moved to the Netherlands to study a Master of Music with Prof. Jilt Jansma at ArtEZ University of the Arts, where he graduated with distinction in 2022, having presented an acclaimed multidisciplinary final project.
Throughout his orchestral career, Román has had the opportunity to perform under the baton of renowned conductors, such as Eiji Oue, Steven Sloane, Etienne Siebens and Benjamin Zander, and has played in some of the most prestigious concert halls in The Netherlands, including Het Concertgebouw, De Doelen and TivoliVredenburg, among others.
Currently, Román is a regular collaborator of Phion – Orkest van Gelderland en Overijssel.
