Novilė Maceinaitė (1991) started playing violin at age of 7. She completed her studies at the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts in Vilnius. During her studies in Lithuania, she participated in and won prizes in national and international competitions. After her studies in Vilnius, she became a student at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague, in the Netherlands. She holds a Bachelor’s degree obtained under Philippe Graffin and Ilona Sie Dhian Ho and in December 2018 she graduated with a Master’s degree under Janet Krause and Philippe Graffin. From 2016 to 2018, she joined The Hague Philharmonic Orchestra as part of a Master’s specialization.
Besides her teachers, Novile has taken part in masterclasses and lessons with Peter Zazovsky, Dana Pomerants- Mazurkevich, Marcus Placci, Andras Keller, Vera Beths, and Stephan Picard, as well as in chamber music training with Wilfred Strehle, Jean-Bernard Pommier, Jerome Pernoo, Maria Milstein, Johannes Meissl, and Danel Quartet, among others. Since graduation, Novilė has already taken opportunities and continuing so by joining professional orchestras such as Het Residentie Orkest, Noord Nederlands Orkest, Metropole Orkest, and Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest. She is currently playing on a Gagliano copy by Vincenzo Sannino in Naples, 1924.
